Subject	Car will not run

Message	Good evening! I actually purchased the car back from the person I sold it to four years ago, and now I am attempting to simply get the car started. I put in a new battery after several attempts of jumping the car with cables. Now, it turns over, sounds like it will start, but does not run. Thus, I attemped to check the ECU, recommended by SilverTwin (Tim D.) but it seems to not be communicating as nothing happens at all? Additionally, he asked if I hear the fuel "prime" or "purge" when I turn the key over, and I do NOT hear that. What else should I check, replace, etc.? Thanks in advance for any help which is appreciated. Tim, if you see this I emailed you back.
